Singular Wings

Singular Wings needed a new logo that showed a connection to their past as well as giving a modern, reliable profile to represent their idea of health technology and innovative spirit.
During the preliminary discussions about the project, it emerged that between the two designs, the very old one was the one that better represented the spirit of the company and also incorporated all elements.

The new logo is made of two parts: the symbol and the company name.The symbol is a clear reference to the original one, and it is designed using an 8x8 grid. The wing is positioned on the diagonal of the grid and is defined by the white negative space, so it is cut out from the blue square shape. This helps to incorporate many elements into the symbol, and also to focus the attention on the red dot that represents the singularity. For the name I created a custom typography inspired by the classic geometric fonts like Futura. The Gs and R have a peculiar design that gives both a sense of classic and modern.

The color palette consists of a deep dark blue and a bright red. The blue gives a sense of trust and reliability, while the red represents instead the physiological signal of the heart, which is the core of the company business.
